'Passengers from Gujarat agreed to pay Rs 60-80 lakh to enter US illegally'

Over 60 people from Gujarat, India, were on a Nicaragua-bound plane that was sent back from France due to suspected human trafficking. These passengers had agreed to pay immigration agents between Rs 60 lakh to Rs 80 lakh to help them cross into the US illegally after reaching Nicaragua. Most of the passengers were from Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Anand districts. The passengers revealed that the agents had promised to take them to the US border from Nicaragua and had even provided them with air tickets and emergency funds.
