NIA’s crack down on terrorist-gangster syndicate, attaches property in UP and other states of Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate members
Saturday, 6 January 2024 The NIA attached four properties owned by members of Lawrence Bishnoi’s organized terror-crime syndicate. These properties, used for hatching terror conspiracies and executing serious crimes, were attached in a coordinated swoop by NIA teams in Haryana, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh. The attached properties include a flat in Lucknow belonging to Vikas Singh, who harbored terrorists, and two properties in Punjab owned by accused Dalip Kumar. The NIA also seized a Fortuner car registered in the name of Joginder Singh, the father of gangster Kala Rana, who facilitated gang members in transporting arms and ammunition.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two suspects - Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha - in connection with Bengaluru's Rameswaram Cafe blast case on Friday. The two were nabbed near West Bengal's Kolkata. Mussavir Hussain Shazib has been identified as the alleged "mastermind" behind the low-intensity blast that occurred at a prominent eatery in Bengaluru on March 1. Shazib is accused of placing the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe. Additionally, Abdul Matheen Taha is implicated as a co-conspirator in the incident. Both Taha and Shazib hail from Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district, according to statements from the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
