Gujarat: Kejriwal announces jailed MLA Chaitar Vasava as candidate from Bharuch Lok Sabha seat
Sunday, 7 January 2024 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal has named jailed MLA Chaitar Vasava as the party's candidate for the Bharuch Lok Sabha seat in Gujarat. Kejriwal appealed to the people to ensure Vasava's victory in the elections. Vasava, who is currently in jail, will fight the election from there if he is not released. The AAP has started its election campaign with a public rally in Bharuch. In the previous Lok Sabha polls, the BJP secured victory in all 26 seats in Gujarat, but the AAP won five seats in the state assembly polls in 2022.
