Karnataka deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar defended the government's decision to celebrate the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He stated that ultimately we all are Hindus and supported the Congress-ruled Karnataka government's celebration of the ceremony in temples across the state. Shivakumar criticized the BJP-led Centre for adopting a pick-and-choose method in deciding who should attend the event. He emphasized that the Ram Temple is public property and not a private property belonging to any individual. Shivakumar highlighted that his government respects the sentiments of all people and has departments for various religions and communities.
