Want to put up first 'Bharatiya Antariskha Station' by 2028 using existing launcher capability: Isro chairman Somanath

India plans to establish the Bharatiya Antariksha Station by 2028, which will serve as a laboratory for experiments. By 2035, the aim is to have research institutions and scientific establishments deriving benefits and economic outcomes from the station. Isro will seek out companies and institutions to create economic activities. Over the next 5-10 years, numerous spacecraft will need to be constructed by industries to undertake various tasks on Earth from space. This offers them a chance to actively engage and contribute to the expansion of the sector, he emphasized.
