Maharashtra government's 'bulldozer action' after stone-pelting during Ram Temple rally near Mumbai

The local civic body on Tuesday razed illegal structures and encroachments by bulldozers in Mira Road near Mumbai, two days after violence broke out in the area during a Ram Temple rally.The Eknath Shinde-led government said that action has been taken against illegal shops and houses where stones were pelted at a procession led by Hindus on Monday.Notably, the demolition by the Mira Bhaindar Municipal Corporation came a day after Maharashtra deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis warned of strict action against rioters.
