India slips to 5th place on Maldives' tourism charts amid diplomatic tensions

The Maldives experienced a significant decline in tourist arrivals from India over the past three weeks, amid the ongoing diplomatic dispute between the two nations, as per official statistics. According to data released by the ministry of tourism in the Maldives, India has dropped from the third to the fifth spot among the top 10 tourism markets within the last three weeks. As of January 28, India's market share stands at 8%, with China and the UK surpassing the country, securing the third and fourth positions, respectively.
