Maharashtra: Upgraded 108 ambulances to cost 10k cr in 10 yrs, eyebrows raised

The state is facing a potential expenditure of Rs 10,000 crore over the next decade for the 108 ambulance fleet. Concerns have been raised about outsourcing the service, lack of a forensic audit, and cost-effectiveness. Tamil Nadu only outsources the management of call centre and personnel, while owning the vehicles.
