Tuesday, 26 March 2024 Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has now established 'connectivity' on the 298-km Nimmu-Padam-Darcha road in Ladakh, which will be the third axis to the strategically-important region after Manali-Leh and Srinagar-Leh. Intrepid BRO personnel had been tirelessly cutting through the vertical rock-face connecting the final stretch of Niraq gorge in sub-zero temperatures, with teams engaged in work on both sides.
On May 20, votes from 49 constituencies spread across six states and two Union territories will determine the fate of 695 candidates, including a number of well-known ministers and MPs. Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Ladakh, Maharashtra, Bihar, and Jammu & Kashmir will vote.
