Surin faces conviction under IPC Section 302 and Arms Act Section 27. Sentencing on April 10 by additional judicial commissioner Dinesh Kumar. Victims Bhushan Kumar Singh and Ram Govind attacked while playing cards near Surin's residence.
The Enforcement Directorate conducted raids in Ranchi, Jharkhand, recovering cash from the household of Sanjiv Lal, personal secretary to Jharkhand's Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam, linked to the Virendra Ram case. Virendra K. Ram, the chief engineer, was arrested earlier in a money laundering probe concerning alleged scheme irregularities.
