SC issues contempt notice to DDA for felling trees in the southern ridge
Wednesday, 24 April 2024 () The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) Vice-Chairman has been served a contempt notice by the Supreme Court for cutting down more than 1,000 trees to build a road near Maidan Garhi, connecting Chattarpur Road and SAARC University. Justices B R Gavai and Sandeep Mehta highlighted that the DDA defied a court order against tree felling.
