Lenovo to acquire NEC’s mobile business: Report

Lenovo to acquire NEC’s mobile business: ReportLenovo has been setting its eye on the smartphone market for long now and has earlier been reported to  acquiring Nokia and later BlackBerry for expanding its mobile business. While these proposals have just been pure speculation and at times executives getting lost in translation, Reuters is reporting that the Chinese player is now in talks with the Japanese mobile phone vendor NEC. According to the report, Lenovo is in talks to acquire NEC’s mobile phone unit. NEC is facing a downfall in the mobile business and has been looking for some potential partners even in domestic market. Lenovo, which has been strategizing to grow its existing mobile business, is considering to buy the Japanese vendor to hit the competitive handset
