Oakland police: Victim's prints on gun

Law enforcement sources tell us newly completed lab tests show Skyline High School senior Alan Blueford's fingerprints were on the handgun that he allegedly pointed at an Oakland police officer before being shot and killed May 6. Burris said only that he expects to have the police reports soon and will compare officers' statements and other evidence with "the information I've gathered independently, and advise the family accordingly." The state High-Speed Rail Authority faces no fewer than six legal challenges to the environmental review process - including three from the town of Atherton, one each from Madera and Chowchilla (Madera County), and another from a Fresno business, Timeless Investments Inc. A pair of Hanford residents have also teamed up with Kings County, saying the project violates the voter-approved Proposition 1A requirement that the state have enough money in hand to complete a significant portion before any work starts. The only real worry, says High Speed Rail Authority Chairman Dan Richard, would be if a judge issued an injunction that stopped the construction dead in its tracks - delaying the project long enough to jeopardize some of the federal stimulus money the state is counting on. A funny thing happened ... : San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr and Deputy Chief Jim Dudley showed up for the start of a two-week-long, police executive training program at the San Mateo Marriott the other day and were surprised to run into a lieutenant from their own department.
