The Supreme Court granted interim protection to social activist Teesta Setalvad.
Her regular bail was rejected by the Gujarat High Court.
Setalvad is accused of fabricating evidence in relation to the 2002 Gujarat riots.
High Court had asked her to surrender immediately.
