YS Sharmila merges party with Congress, says ‘father's dream to see Rahul Gandhi PM’ | Oneindia

YS Sharmila, the daughter of the former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, officially joined the Congress party on Thursday.

The significant move took place in the presence of party president Mallikarjun Kharge and former party chief Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi.

Not only did Sharmila join the Congress, but she also declared the merger of her YSR Telangana Party with the Congress, expressing her readiness to undertake any responsibilities entrusted to her.

Addressing party workers and supporters at the AICC headquarters in the national capital, Sharmila conveyed her happiness at the consolidation of political forces.
