New guidance for schools on mobile phone use

Headteachers in England have been given advice on how to ban mobile phones from schools under new government plans, Education Secretary Gillian Keegan has announced.

The new guidance includes how to search students and their bags for devices "if necessary." Ms Keegan said the government is trying to "reset the social norm that when you're in school, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you will not be permitted to use your mobile phone." Report by Kennedyl.
