Minister seeks to clarify PM’s ‘mob rule’ speech comments
Damian Hinds seeks to clarify comments made by Rishi Sunak in a speech to police chiefs on Wednesday, where the prime minister claimed the UK was descending into "mob rule".
The schools minister says, “what the prime minister was talking about was not letting intimidation influence our political process” and is “absolutely right” to do so.

Prince William hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace on behalf of his father King Charles. The party also included his cousins Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Zara Tindall - accompanied by her husband, Mike - and Peter Philips. The neighbour of a woman who was mauled to death by XL Bully dogs, says she never saw muzzled dogs anywhere on the estate. Aimee Marston said "We've never ever seen an XL Bully. If they were registered, we would have seen muzzled dogs but I've got two ex-racing greyhounds and we walk them all the time and we never ever see muzzled dogs on the estate." The first victims of the infected blood scandal will receive their final compensation payment before the end of the year, minister John Glen has said. In a statement delivered to the House of Commons, Mr Glen said the payments would be exempt from income, capital gains, and inheritance tax.
