Once again, millions of travellers throughout Germany faced disruptions on March 7 as two unions initiated two-day walkouts over wage disputes and working conditions.
The strike significantly impacted transportation networks, with approximately 80% of long-distance trains, regional trains, and commuter trains being cancelled due to the absence of train drivers.
Furthermore, air travel also experienced disruptions, as ground staff at the German airline Lufthansa ceased operations early in the morning.
