Labour: Sunak can’t achieve anything on immigration
Alison McGovern has hit out at the prime minister’s plan for immigration, saying that she “doesn’t believe that Rishi Sunak can achieve anything on immigration.” It comes after the Mr Sunak’s Rwanda deportation plan has been hit by further delay after defiant peers dug their heels in and inflicted a series of fresh defeats against the controversial policy.

Rishi Sunak and wife Akshata Murty’s wealth surged from £529m last year to £651m this year. Meanwhile, King Charles’ wealth also grew, rising from £600m last year to £610m this year. The Infected Blood memorial, which was on display at the Inquiry until hearings finished in February 2023, will be permanently rehomed after the report of the publication.
Designed by Art Lewry, the memorial mimics a laboratory specimen holder, and inside each jar is a message to a loved one written by someone infected or affected by the contaminated blood.
