On Wednesday, Ukraine's air force chief reported that Russia had launched 13 Shahed drones overnight, with 10 being successfully intercepted and downed in the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kyiv regions.
Mykola Oleshchuk stated that various defence mechanisms, including anti-aircraft missile units and electronic warfare equipment, were deployed to repel the air attack.
Former US diplomat Victoria Nuland cautioned against sending Western instructors into Ukraine, despite severe troop shortages, to avoid escalating conflict with Russia. Nuland emphasized NATO's current extensive training of Ukrainian forces in member states. Estoniaâs PM confirmed some NATO personnel are already training Ukrainian soldiers in Ukraine, while France, Estonia, and Lithuania support sending additional instructors or support troops.
