Piran Ditta Khan, 75, has been found guilty of the murder of police constable Sharon Beshenivsky at Leeds Crown Court. Khan, who spent almost 15 years on the run before being brought to justice, planned the raid that ended in Pc Beshenivsky being shot dead, and her colleague Pc Teresa Milburn seriously injured, his trial was told. A woman fatally stabbed as she pushed her baby in a pram has been identified by police as her suspected attacker remains on the run. A police manhunt is underway for Habibur Masum, 25, who is suspected of the murder of Kulsama Akter in Bradford. West Yorkshire Police Assistant Chief Constable Damien Miller said “we are doing everything we can to locate him”.

Police have named Habibur Masum, 25, in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman in Bradford on Saturday afternoon. Officers are appealing to the public to report any sightings of Masum, who is from the Oldham area and known to the woman. Police were called to Westgate in the city centre at 3.21pm on Saturday after reports of a woman being stabbed by a man who then fled. The woman, 27, later died in hospital. Report by Jonesia. A Moroccan asylum seeker has been sentenced to life in jail for murder, with a minimum term of 45 years, at Teesside Crown Court. In October last year, 45-year-old Ahmed Alid stabbed Iranian Christian convert Javed Nouri at the house he was sharing with other asylum seekers before looking for more victims in Hartlepool town centre. He then stabbed and killed 70-year-old Terence Carney who was out for his regular early morning walk.
