Despite the tremors, there were no initial reports of damage.
Additionally, Myanmar experienced a magnitude 5.7 earthquake, while Taiwan faced significant destruction from a 7.2 magnitude quake.
Japan also encountered seismic activity with a 6.3 magnitude earthquake along its east coast.
