Kash Patel

Kashyap "Kash" Patel is an American lawyer and former federal prosecutor at the U.S. Department of Justice. Previously, he was the Chief of Staff to the U.S. Secretary of Defense during the first Trump presidency. He has served as a U.S. National Security Council official, and senior advisor to the acting Director of National Intelligence. In November 2024, President-elect Donald Trump nominated Patel to succeed Christopher A. Wray as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
