Gyanesh Kumar is a 1988-batch retired Indian Administrative Service officer belonging to the Kerala cadre serving as 26th Chief Election Commissioner of India from 19th February 2025 onwards. Previously he served as Election Commissioner of India. Before that, he superannuated as Co-operation Secretary of India on 31 January 2024.
