Sisir Kumar Adhikari is Member of Parliament in Lok Sabha from Bharatiya Janata Party who represented Kanthi from 2009 till 2021. He is a former Union Minister of State for Rural Development in the Manmohan Singh government. He recently changed his political affiliation from All India Trinamool Congress to Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on 21 March 2021 on the backdrop of 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election.
