Unite the Union: British and Irish trade union
Unite the Union, commonly known as Unite, is a British and Irish trade union formed on 1 May 2007 by the merger of Amicus and the Transport and General Workers' Union (TGWU). A general union, Unite is one of the largest trade unions in the United Kingdom and Ireland, with over 1.2 million members across sectors. The current general secretary is Sharon Graham, who was elected in August 2021.
