Kirsty Coventry: President-elect of the IOC since 2025
Kirsty Leigh Coventry Seward is a Zimbabwean swimmer, politician, and sports administrator. She will become the 10th president of the International Olympic Committee in 2025, being the first woman and the first African to be elected to that position. She will officially be appointed on 24 June to replace Thomas Bach. Coventry is currently serving as the Minister of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation in the Cabinet of Zimbabwe since September 2018. A former Olympic swimmer and world record holder, she is the most decorated Olympian from Africa.
