Feat in professional golf; winning all major championships in the same year

In golf, winning all of golf's major championships in the same calendar year constitutes the Grand Slam. In the amateur era, this feat was achieved in 1930 when Bobby Jones won the four major tournaments of that era open to amateurs: the The Amateur Championship, the Open Championship, the United States Open, and the United States Amateur. Modern variations include a Career Grand Slam, which involves winning all of the major tournaments within a player's career. Six golfers have accomplished this: Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, and Rory McIlroy. There is also the Tiger Slam, achieved by winning four consecutive major titles but not in the same calendar year; this variation is named after Woods, the only player to accomplish the feat.
