Jerod Mayo Sr. is an American professional football coach and former linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons with the New England Patriots. He also served as the head coach of the Patriots in 2024. Mayo played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers, receiving first-team All-SEC honors, and was selected by the Patriots 10th overall in the 2008 NFL draft.
