Shikhar Dhawan is an Indian former international cricketer. A left-handed opening batter, he was a integral player for Indian cricket team for a decade. His consistent performance in limited overs cricket helped the team to do so well in major tournaments. He was awarded the 'Player of the Tournament' for his exploits in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, helped India to win that tournament. In the same year, on his test debut, he scored record 187 against Australia, which is highest score by an Indian on test debut to date. He was the leading run scorer for India at the 2015 Cricket World Cup. Dhawan announced his retirement from international and domestic cricket on 24th August 2024. His domestic team was Delhi.
