Marcus Dell Gastineau is an American former professional football defensive end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 10 seasons with the New York Jets. During his NFL career, he was named Defensive Player of the Year in 1982 and was the first player to lead the league in sacks in consecutive seasons. Gastineau also received five Pro Bowl and four first-team All-Pro selections. At the time of his retirement, he held the single-season sack record. For his accomplishments in New York, Gastineau was inducted to the Jets Ring of Honor in 2012.
