Dan Norris is a British politician who has served as Mayor of the West of England since 2021. He has served as Member of Parliament (MP) for North East Somerset and Hanham since 2024, having represented Wansdyke, one of its predecessor constituencies, from 1997 to 2010. An Independent he was Formerly a member of the Labour Party, until he was suspended in April 2025 after being arrested by Avon and Somerset Police on suspicion of rape, child sex offences, child abduction and misconduct in a public office.
