As the first husband of a vice president, Emhoff is the first Second Gentleman of the United States. He is also the first Jewish spouse of an American president or vice president. Harris is the Democratic Party's nominee for the 2024 US presidential election. If she wins, Emhoff will become the first First Gentleman of the United States.
