'FPI buying in Indian shares slows to four-month low in August'

Foreign portfolio investor (FPI) inflows in Indian equities were at a four-month low of INR 122.62 billion ($1.48 billion) in August, with FPIs turning net sellers in financial services and metals due to concerns over economic recovery in China. However, FPIs bought shares worth INR 115.25 billion on a net basis in the second half of the month, suggesting a recovery in inflows.
