AirAsia India brand sunsets; stage set for mega AI Express soon

AirAsia India, a joint venture between Tata and AirAsia Berhad, has officially ended its operations and been rebranded as IX Connect. Tata has acquired AirAsia's stake in the company and plans to merge it with Air India Express to create a mega low-cost carrier. The merger has been approved by the Competition Commission of India and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The new carrier aims to provide seamless connections, unique experiences, and best-in-class value with Indian hospitality.
