Indian Railways looks to become ‘atmanirbhar’ in forged wheels manufacturing; details here

The Indian Railways has announced a project to produce 2,30,000 forged wheels to meet the annual requirement of 80,000 wheels. Currently, India imports a significant portion of its annual requirement of 4,40,000 train wheels. The new project aims to enhance indigenous capacity and establish a forged wheels plant in India under the 'Make in India' campaign.
