On a high: Paul John single malt whisky maker to treble capacity
Sunday, 10 December 2023 John Distilleries is expanding the capacity of its single malt whisky production at its distillery in Goa. The company, known for its brands Nirvana, Mithuna, Peated Select, Kanya, and Brilliance, sold 57,000 cases of single malts last year, accounting for 13% of the premium malt whisky category in India. The current capacity is 1.2 million litres, and it will be increased to 3.4 million litres with an investment of over Rs 100 crore. The company's single malt whiskies are gaining popularity both in the domestic market and in exports across various countries.
