Iran-Israel conflict sparks selloff, sensex tanks 845 points

IndiaTimes Monday, 15 April 2024
The Sensex plummeted over 900 points at opening due to the Iran-Israel conflict, closing 845 points lower at 73,400. 27 of the 30 Sensex stocks ended in the red as foreign funds sold aggressively while domestic institutions bought. The Nifty also dropped 247 points to close at 22,273. Geopolitical tensions in West Asia and rising US inflation, potentially delaying Federal Reserve rate cuts, dampened investor sentiment globally.
