The Centre is reforming the CGHS to streamline processes and reduce red tape. Addressing issues like bill settlement delays and financial distress of empaneled hospitals, the reform aims to enhance the efficiency of CGHS. The Health Ministry is recommended to establish mechanisms for daily review of pending bills.
