DoT, Trai and telcos give renewed thrust to counter spam, cyber fraudsters

The Department of Telecom, Trai, and private telecom operators are intensifying efforts to combat spam and unsolicited communication. New initiatives include AI detection by Airtel and blockchain technology by Vodafone Idea. Over one crore fraudulent mobile connections have been disconnected, with stricter SMS regulations taking effect from October 1.
