The Marvel Studios film is described as a grounded political thriller that hearkens back to the 2014 feature 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier.' Scarlett Johansson is opening up about leading the next 'Jurassic World' installment saying she's been trying to get into the franchise for over 10 years. In an interview with Comicbook.com, Johansson said that the opportunity to join 'Jurassic World' was enough for her to jump back into another big Hollywood franchise, after her long tenure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "I'm an enormous 'Jurassic Park' fan. It's one of the first films I remember seeing in the theater. I remember seeing it so vividly. It was like life changing. It was mind-blowing. I cannot express how excited I am."

Marvel is eyeing Shawn Levy to direct the next 'Avengers' film. The director is currently busy putting the final touches on Marvel's 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' but he may also be the studio's choice to direct the next 'Avengers.' The development is characterized as very early. Sources say Marvel and Levy are talking about the project and that the studio gave the latest script to the filmmaker late last week. But sources also say that other filmmakers are in the mix for the high-profile gig.

Marvel is resurrecting Vision once again for his own TV series. The character will be at the center of the studio's first new series order in some time. The untitled show is currently on track for a 2026 premiere on Disney+. Terry Matalas of 'Star Trek: Picard' is set to be the showrunner. A writer's room for the series opened this week. Paul Bettany will reprise his role as Vision, which spans three Marvel films and the Disney+ series 'WandaVision.' (As well as the voice work he did on the three 'Iron Man' movies.)
