Media mogul Oprah Winfrey stepped down from the board of directors of WW - formerly WeightWatchers - so she could focus on making a TV special about weight loss medications without a "conflict of interest".
Alec Baldwin had some strong opinions about American media during an appearance at the Turin Film Festival. Baldwin was present at the festival where he was the guest of honor as the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award. During the press conference Baldwin got a little critical about Americans and media at one point saying, "You know what's going on from the news, but information in America is driven by money. It's a business. That's why there's a void in information on the biggest issues in the world. Americans know little or nothing β on climate change, on Ukraine. That void is filled in part by the film industry, by documentaries and narrative films."
