J.K. Rowling responded to a comment suggesting Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson would be forgiven if they offered the author a public apology for defending the trans community.

Host Ariana DeBose kicked off the show with a dance-heavy opening number in which she celebrated this year's nominees and the struggles and "journey" that led them to the Broadway awards.
