Will Smith is continuing his comeback by taking the BET Awards stage with a performance of his brand-new song. Smith performed "You Can Make It," backed by the Sunday Service Choir, Chandler Moore and Kirk Franklin. Smith kicked off the performance standing on what was meant to look like lava, surrounded by fire. The performance also featured what looked like rain, ending with the fire being put out and more inspiring lyrics rapped by Smith. The rousing performance drew lots of cheers from the audience, who gave him a standing ovation.

Will Smith is lining up his next big movie role. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the Oscar-winning actor is in talks to star in 'Resistor' for Sony Pictures. The project is an adaptation of the 2014 novel 'Influx.' Todd Black is among the film's producers. Smith and Black have previously collaborated on the Sony films 'Seven Pounds,' 'The Pursuit of Happyness' and 'Emancipation.' A director is not yet attached.
