'Another Simple Favor' sees Stephanie Smothers (played by Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (played by Lively) heading to the island of Capri for the latter's lavish wedding. Emily is set to marry a wealthy Italian businessman, with murder and betrayal finding their way onto the agenda. Henry Golding returns, and Allison Janney joins the cast for the sequel film. The film is set to stream on Prime Video May 1.

The suit does not name the actresses, or quote directly from their texts or include screenshots, out of concern that they may be exposed to the same sort of cyberbullying and threats Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, claim they have endured.
