In a new interview, Apple executives who worked on the AirPods Pro 2 hearing feature reveal how long the development was, and how the H2 chip proved to be crucial.

Apple has allowed journalists into its AirPods Pro audio testing labs before. But now that the hearing aid feature has been released in Australia, the company has discussed more details of the development with local media.
Bergeron said that it was really with the release of the first generation of AirPods Pro in 2019 that the company to think it might have the ability to create a hearing aid feature.
