Thursday, 3 August 2023 Amidst growing criticism aimed at Bollywood actors for their silence on the communal violence in India, a 2002 public service advertisement, ‘Stop the Hatred’, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar and Anupam Kher, has gone viral on Twitter. The ad, which aimed to promote communal harmony and nationalism with the slogan "I am an Indian first".
