‘Gadar 2’ loses 100 shows in Bengal in one day

IndiaTimes Friday, 8 September 2023
On September 7th, Shah Rukh Khan's film 'Jawan' took the country by storm, causing other movies like 'Gadar 2' and 'Byomkesh O Durgo Rohoshyo' to lose screen time. 'Jawan' opened in Bengal with a massive 1200 shows, with almost all being houseful, prompting theaters to consider additional screenings. In contrast, 'Gadar 2' and 'Byomkesh O Durgo Rohoshyo' saw a significant drop in showings due to 'Jawan's demand. 'Jawan' itself had an exceptional opening day, raking in 75 crore rupees across Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, breaking records previously held by Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan'.
