Top Hollywood stars offer $150 Mn to end strike

IndiaTimes Friday, 20 October 2023
George Clooney and other Hollywood stars have offered $150 million to the SAG-AFTRA actors union to help end the ongoing strike, which is nearing its 100th day. The offer would provide extra funding for improved health benefits and ensure that top stars only collect residuals after lower-paid actors have received theirs. Talks between the union and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers broke down last week, prolonging the strike and causing disruption to film and television production.
