When Matthew said, 'I had a two per cent chance to live'

IndiaTimes Saturday, 4 November 2023
Matthew Perry, best known for his role in "Friends," recently passed away at the age of 54. However, in his memoir, he revealed that he had a near-death experience at the age of 49. Perry suffered a colon rupture due to excessive opioid use, resulting in a two-week coma and a five-month hospitalization. Doctors gave him a two per cent chance of survival. Perry shared that he was put on an ECMO machine, which saved his life, but tragically, four others in similar situations did not survive.
